In February 2011, Marc Barmat was appointed as a Chapter 7 panel trustee in the Southern District of Florida by the United States Trustee. Additionally, he serves as an Assignee in Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors cases and State Court-appointed Receiver.
Beyond his fiduciary roles, Mr. Barmat represents fiduciaries, debtors, and creditors in diverse consumer and business insolvency matters. His extensive background encompasses prior representation of defendants in professional malpractice and complex commercial litigation.
As a Board member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, Mr. Barmat is actively involved in the bankruptcy field and frequently speaks on related topics. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, participates in various professional associations, and provides pro bono legal services to community organizations.
