Andrea Dobin is a member of the law firm of McManimon Scotland and Baumann, resident in the firm’s office in Trenton, New Jersey. Andrea has served as a panel Chapter 7 Trustee since 1999 and as New Jersey’s primary Chapter 12 Trustee since 2005. Her practice consists largely of representing Trustees, litigants and other parties in the Bankruptcy Court. Andrea is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy topics, including presenting the new case update for the New Jersey Bench-Bar Conference each year. She served as the Editor in Chief of the American Bankruptcy Trustee Journal between 2017-2020 and has written the Case Law Update for the ABTJ since the Winter issue of 2021. Andrea returned to the helm of the ABTJ in the Fall of 2022 at the same time that she was elected to a three (3) year term on the NABT Board of Directors. In addition to her professional endeavors, from 2017 through 2022 Andrea served as a member of the Board of Directors of One Simple Wish, a non-profit that grants wishes to children affected by foster care (and adults who have aged out of the foster care system) around the country. She is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (n/k/a University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School) and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
